I have been a lifelong resident of Rockingham County and enjoy the opportunities that this area affords me to raise my family and to work. I graduated from Broadway High School in 1990 and then from Virginia Tech with a degree in applied and agricultural economics in 1994. I began working in the financial services industry in 2002 and joined the Stern & Heatwole team in 2012. I hold my FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65 securities registration through Commonwealth Financial Network®, as well as life and health insurance license.

I really enjoy helping both individual and business clients plan for their financial goals. This includes working with clients on financial planning, personal wealth management, estate issues, business planning/succession, and retirement plan design and implementation.

Away from my job, I enjoy life on the farm with my wife, Tina. Production includes two sons, beef cattle, sheep, and custom hay. I have been a member of the Broadway/Timberville Ruritan club since 2003 and a member of Trissels Mennonite Church. My hobbies include baseball, fishing/hunting, and spending time at the Outer Banks.
