Jacob Garren

I have spent most of my life in the Harrisonburg-Rockingham area. I graduated from Spotswood High School during the Pandemic which unfortunately shortened my senior year on the tennis team where I was ranked first.

My grandfather was a businessman in the tennis court industry. He not only inspired me to apply for the College of Business, but he also taught me the importance of building strong client relationships. I attended JMU, where my father was a professor, and majored in Economics and Finance. I was a member of the Club Tennis team and the Madison Economics Club. After college, I worked at Social Services where I managed SNAP and Medicaid cases until a chance meeting at jury duty led to a job opportunity at Stern & Heatwole.

Outside of work, I enjoy weightlifting, playing tennis and golf, reading, playing the guitar, fly-fishing, and walking my dog, Milo. I also love the beach and enjoy going to the Outer Banks and Figure Eight Island.
